The theme of this week's CAS-ual Friday's Challenge is to make a graduation card. Well, I did just that. Only… it's for next year :) I'm fresh out of grads for this year so I'm getting a HUGE jump on the grad cards for next year!

I used PTI's By The Numbers dies to cut 2012 out of shiny copper DP. If you visit my blog, you know ow much I love stamping on vellum! The sentiment is from Inside Out: Baby (PTI). It's a bit hard to make out in the pic but I scored a border around the linen cardstock . I added a couple of black brads for a little extra somethin', somethin'. Clean and simple.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Memorial Day weekend to all my US friends!!! Hope you're enjoying the long weekend with family and friends.

We've got a fun, fresh, springy color combo for you at CR84FN this week!  But before we get to the color combo, one of own wonderful DT members has a birthday this coming week!!!

Happy Birthday, DEB!!!!

Hope your day is extra special!!! Make sure you swing by Deb's blog and leave her some happy birthday love!!!

On to the CR84FN challenge! While the birthday card above was made using the challenge colors, I've got another card to share.

The gorgeous inspiration photos come courtesy of Martha Stewart. Her site is just  jam-packed with inspiration!

The colors are so springy and fresh; but the soft pastels just put babies on my mind :)

I wanted to create a cute little train of ducks joined with twine. The ducks are place on embossed vellum. I stamped "congratulations" on acetate and layered it over "baby" and held it in place with stitching. For a complete supply list, check the end of this post :)

JUGS #86: Father's Day 3D Project

Father's Day is fast approaching - what better way to honor Dad than with a homemade gift?!  Just Us Girls has got just the challenge to get you up and craftin', to make Dad's day extra-special :)

I decided to use a template by Lauren Meader called For Keepsake. It is such a versatile, fantastic template that you'll find yourself using over and over again!

I used this fantastic DP from Cloud Nine, which is really about the ONLY masculine DP I own aside from plain colors! The template has a little window that I covered with acetate. I wrapped a bit of Fine Linen saddle stitch ribbon around both the cover and the main body of the box for a little extra somethin'.  Isn't the tag so cute…I mean, handsome!

Yumminess lies inside….

These are peanut butter pretzel sandwiches dipped in white chocolate. Oh yes, they are good!!!
I got the recipe from a pin on Pinterest - they're called Peanut Butter "Buckeye" Pretzel Bites. The recipe originally calls for semisweet choclate but I substituted white chocolate 'cause my hubby loves white chocolate. Sadly, these won't make it to my Dad - he's in Canada so I gave this sweet surprise to my wonderful husband! I don't have a closeup of my pretzels cause they don't look near as nice as the ones from the parent recipe but they taste darn GOOD!!! And, even better, they are SUPER quick and easy to make. Win, win :)

On a final note, this is Clare's last challenge as May Guest Designer for JUGS. We're so glad you shared your AMAZING talent with us this month, Clare!!! Please stop by and leave her and the other JUGheads some love! I just love the nickname, "JUGheads… thanks E!!!!

DeNami Product Spotlight: Giraffe

For my CR84FN post, click HERE.
For my JUGS post, click HERE.

This little fella is SOOOOOO ADORABLE!!!!

For this card I used the following DeNami stamps;

I thought this sweet lil' guy would be great for a baby card. I decided to go with a gender-neutral color scheme. I colored him with Copics (Y13, Y15 , Y35, E55,  E57, R00). I used a white gel pen to add a few highlights. What stamp collection couldn't use an adorable giraffe like this one?!

Just to remind you, DeNami is offering 10% off the product spotlight stamp for 1 week!!!!

Head over to the DeNami blog to see more projects from the uber talented DeNami DT as well as our AWESOME May guest designer, Dana Seymour :)

Time for another Papertrey Blog Hop

More about this month's challenge from PTI:
Flowers

May is the month when many flowers finally go into full bloom after a long winter's sleep.  For the blog hop this month we want to see your favorite take on flowers.  You can stamp backgrounds, create custom floral embellishments, showcase unique flower center additions (buttons, rhinestones, beads, etc...), flowers die-cut from different materials (like fabric, felt, vellum, etc...) or anything else you can dream up!  We are looking forward to seeing all of your amazing creations!

What a great challenge! I just got my PTI goodies two days ago so I could't wait to use 'em! After seeing the WM Sketch challenge this week, an idea popped in my head.

I took 11 of the 12 flowers from the Year of Flowers Collection, colored them and cut them out with circle nesties. The card base is embossed with woodgrain - it's a bit hard to see in the picture. The sentiment is from the oldie but goodie, Garden of Life. I was pretty happy with how this turned out!

Anywho, thanks so much for stopping by.  Happy hopping!

Pink is my new favorite color :)

For my CR84FN post, click HERE.

For my JUGS post, click HERE.

Happy Monday :)

I made this card for the newest CAS-ual Fridays challenge. They're challenging us to bring on the bling :)

So wanna know why my favorite color is now pink?

'Cause I found this wrapped in my craftroom on Friday night!!!! My birthday is coming up and my hubby decided to give me my gift a little early… what a good man! Sorry for the quality of pic - I took it with my phone. I love my new toy - I use it all the time. For anyone interested, I'd be glad to plug the iPad and enable you if needed *wink*

So I decided to go pink with my card. I never used to be a pink gal, but it has really grown on me over the years. Especially since I was introduced to raspberry fizz. Oh yeah.

I stamped dot spot onto sweet blush in raspberry fizz ink. Then I added a few sparkly brads to the centers. See the little white dots? I bought enamel accents  a while back…

… and decided to give them a try. I like the way they look against the sweet blush cardstock.

I also made the celebrate card for another reason:) My birthday and blogiversary are right around the same time, so in honor of those occasions, I'll be offering up some blog candy on the ol' blogo soon. Check back in a few days :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Ready for a fabulous, purplicious CR84FN color challenge? MMMMMM, purple….

The gorgeous inspiration photos come courtesy of Martha Stewart - aren't they just delectable?!

These colors just screamed out for violets :)

I just love the effect of coloring on kraft :) I stamped the violets on kraft and embossed in white. Then I colored with Copics. It's so therapeutic. I loved coloring as a child and it was so fun to realize how much I love doing it as an adult.

Make sure to visit all the other DT members for more amazing inspiration!!

Rainbow bright: JUGS #85

You're going to want to play along with  Just Us Girls this week. I'm just sayin'… the uber talented Dana's got a FUUUUN color challenge - use the colors of the rainbow on your card or project!!!

My ric rac die called out to me for this challenge! I thought a rainbow of colored ric rac would be so fun.

Since the ric rac and buttons made me smile, I figured the sentiment was well suited :) Hopefully it'll make a recipient smile someday :) Kind of a cute, one-layer card; I like the way it turned out.

You have to check out what the other oh-so-talented JUGS have made with these colors!
