CR84FN #70

It's CR84FN color challenge time again!

How springy and beautiful are these colors?! When I saw the gorgeous graphic, I thought of sun and sand, especially since I live in eastern Canada and we have snow and more snow right now :)

I used my new Cameo to make the sun and the sand. I ran the sand cutouts through my Sizzix to give it texture. I also tried playing with shading chalks...with variable success. I've leaned a few more tricks so hopefully my next attempt will be better ;) I created the aqua sky with Distress Ink. The clouds are die cuts from Papertrey Ink. The wonderful sentiment is from DeNami Design - so cheery!

Make sure to check out what eye candy awaits at the blogs of the other DT members (their links are also in my sidebar);

DeNami Color Challenge

For my JUGS post, click HERE.

It's DeNami challenge time! This time around, it's a color challenge and Wendy's picked out such an elegant, classic combo...

And here's what I came up with...

I used DeNami's large hibiscus stamp - I love that big, beautiful image (just so you know, they also have the hibiscus in other sizes too :)). I used grey card stock as the base and stamped the hibiscus using white acrylic paint. I stamped another hibiscus in black on white card stock,  colored it with yellow pastel, cut it out and popped it up on a strip of white card stock. Then I finished it off with one of my fav sentiments.

Make sure to pop by the DeNami blog and check out what the rest of the incredible DT has to share :)

JUGS 137: Color Challenge

It's Saturday and Just Us Girls is bringing you another awesome challenge! Lisa has a gorgeous color combo for your inspiration...

and my card...

I decided to create a paneled look. I stamped lace bouquet in yellow on white card stock and cut two sections. Then I stamped a sentiment on the center panel. I added a ribbon (my ribbon pretty much needed to be dusted off, it's been so long since I used it!).

Check out the other DT gals AMAZING creations over at Just Us Girls!!!

Time for a new CR84FN challenge

Before introducing this week's colors, we have a CR84FN update.  On a gloomier note, after this challenge, our teammate and friend, Stephanie Kraft, will be stepping down from the CR84FN DT :( We are so very sad to see you go Stephanie but you can be sure we'll be stopping by to say hi and view your always inspiring, beautiful creations! Stephanie has been an incredible, supportive teammate and I wish her all the best in her future endeavors! Please take a moment to swing by Stephanie's blog and leave some love.

How about these stunning colors?! Just cheers me looking at them.

Here's what I came up with for week one of these colors;

The daisies just make me happy too - can't help but smile when I look at them. The daisies are made from Bloom Builders #3 die from Papertrey Ink. The base for the flowers and leaves is a Mega Mat Stack die from PTI. Finally, the yellow card base was dry embossed with a woodgrain embossing plate.

Please take a moment to stop by and visit the other CR84FN gals - leave 'em a bit o' love too :)

CR84FN #49 Take Two

It's week two of the latest CR84FN color challenge

Here's my card for the second week...

I stamped and embossed a medallion and used distress inks to make it pop. I cut the end off a mega mat stack die cut and used it for my sentiment.

Just Us Girls #126 - Sketch

Time to get sketchy with Just Us Girls!

This fabulous sketch was brought to us by our sweet, talented Lynn.

I decided to try my hand at spritzing. I used of my few Glimmer Mists to spritz the card stock - it wasn't quite as splotchy as I'd like but, hey, if I'd wanted it finer, it would have come out splotchy ;) I die cut a larger butterfly and stamped it with Mehendi Medallion then placed a smaller butterfly on top.

We have a new, very talented guest DT for March!!!! Please help me welcome Marisa from Rosemary Reflections! Welcome Rosemary!!! We are so glad to have you share your incredible talents with us this month!

CR84FN #49

Time for an all new CR84FN color challenge

I just love these colors! The neutrals with a pop of yellow. So lovely. We have a new guest designer for the month - please help us welcome Shannon White!!! Welcome Shannon - we are so excited you are joining us at CR84FN!

After die cutting the word baby, I decided to stamp "congratulations of the birth of your" - in retrospect I feel like I should have just left it well enough alone. Just the word "baby" without the stamped text. Otherwise, I kinda like how it turned out :) Enough whining here - lets see what you can do with these fabulous colors!

JUGS #124: Color it UP!

Are you tired of drab ol' winter? Need color infusion? Well Dana's got a color combo over at Just Us Girls that'll put a "spring" in your step (get it? I'm so lame :)).

A bouquet of pastel loveliness!

Here's what my feeble mind came up with… (that's a whole other story, my mind is mush after several taxing weeks at work…Oy).

I've been really drawn to geometric designs lately. When I saw the inspiration graphic, the circles containing the colors just spoke to me. I pictured a bubbly, fun birthday card. And, happily, what I pictured managed to make it out in card form :) 'Cause sometimes what I see in my mind's eye gets lost in translation. And, BONUS, it's a one layer card. YAY! Dunno why, but I feel so satisfied after a one layer card. Gives me that warm and fuzzy feeling all ovah :)
