It's Monday…. how about some fabulous colors to start the week off right? Our lovely Dana has chosen some gorgeous colors for this DeNami Challenge!

If you visit here often, you know my affinity for sunflowers! Love 'em! when I saw these gorgeous colors, I HAD to use my DeNami sunflower stamp… just had to! And what can be better than one sunflower? A whole field of them :)

The DeNami products used on this card are as follows;

I stamped the sunflower a couple of times, then masked the images and stamped some more to create my sunflower field :) I colored them with my Copics (my shade of green is a little off, ok WAY off, from the inspiration photo - sorry Dana!). The wavy "sunny days" sentiment seemed to compliment the grouping of sunflowers, both in meaning and in shape :)  To finish off the sunflowers, I used glue dots to put brown fun flock in the centers.

YAY for one layer!!!

Hope you'll find sue time to play along with this awesome color challenge!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

CR84FN 39 Refresher

For my JUGS post, click HERE.

It's week 2 of the latest CR84FN color challenge!

There's some fun fall inspiration in this week's challenge :)

Here's a reminder of the sources for the inspiration photos;
- Wreath: Etsy
- Pops: BeauCoup

Aside from leaves and fall, these colors made me think of sunflowers, one of my favs!!!

I decided I wanted to use muslin on this card. So I die cut a piece of muslin and adhered it to the card with the greatest product ever!!! Before, I used to adhere my fabric to card stock using a variety of adhesives… none of which gave me completely satisfactory results. Well, hullo Steam a Seam 2! I cut a matching piece of this fusible web, peeled off one of the backs (it's double sided so has repositionable adhesive on both sides) then adhered my muslin - I could have probably adhered the fusible web to the muslin first, then ran them through the die cutter together in hindsight…  Moving on. Then I peeled off the second backing and adhered it to the card base. Now I was a little too lazy to go set up my iron (ummm, let's just say I don't own a lot of clothing that requires ironing, quite on purpose :)), so I heated up the fabric on the card stock using my heat gun… took a few seconds but it worked like a charm :)

I love the rustic texture muslin gives a project. To "distress" it just a little further, I grabbed my Tea Dye Distress Ink and sponged the edges of the orange card stock. It also helped to bring out the embossed text. Add those fabulous sunflowers and done! And I couldn't help but use my banner die…again :)

Hope you like my sunflowery creation :)

JUGS #98 - Color Challenge

How about some uber fabulous, awesome, JUGified color inspiration!?

Over at Just Us Girls, the super sweet and fabulous Elise has a most wonderful color palette to tempt you!

Is this not a most fabulous color combination?!

So many possibilities…. but sunflowers and new PTI goodies came to mind!

I found the most GORGEOUS card by Betsy Veldman HERE while browsing one day recently. And since I'm in need of a mojo injection, I went with the inspiration from her card. I used my new Simple Sunflower set - I think I have a new love - this set and I were made for one another LOL!

Instead of using the leaves from the set, I went with leaves from Turning a New Leaf. I inked up the leaves and "kissed" them on my woodgrain impression plate for a little bit of texture. I love the effect!

I saw another picture on Pinterest while I was browsing, I came across this lovely pillow…

… and was inspired to make a simple and sweet butterfly card with the colors.

Hope you can see the subtle texture on the cream card stock created with a Linen impression plate from PTI.

If you already haven't, see the JUGS site for all the challenge deets. Don't forget to swing by the blogs of the other fabulous JUGS DT gals and show them a little love :)

Hope you find time to play along with Just Us Girls - we love seeing your creations and always appreciate your support!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
