JUGS #101 and a WINNER!!!

Whew! What a week! One week ago, were en route to MA from VA as part of our move from Knoxville, TN to PEI, Canada. 

Our stuff made it on Wednesday, safe and sound :) Woo HOO!!! My craft room is still in boxes - we had to prioritize and get a few other rooms set up first - the hubby thought eating and sleeping might be more important, LOL! 

The hardest part was being completely disconnected with the exception of 30 min to 1 hr windows of internets access gleaned at the local Starbucks or my sisters house. I can't access the internet with my US cellphone (the data download charges are outrageous!!!) and I can't get a Canadian cell just yet. We finally just got internet at the house late Friday afternoon. 

It is AMAZING how dependent I have become on the internet and being "connected"… it's madness to be that dependent. We had to use *GASP* the phone book!!!! What about you? Is it hard to remember how you lived without a smart phone or the internet?

100 JUGified Challenges!

Hello all! 

We're still on the road but I couldn't let an occasion such as this pass me by without a little somethin' somethin'!

We've reached a special milestone over at Just Us Girls - this is our 100th challenge!!! And our dear, sweet Pammycakes has chosen to use the inaugural JUGS sketch, that's right, the first EVER JUGS sketch as this week's challenge. How fun!!!

Now, I don't have a card to share as all my crafty supplies are currently on a truck bound for Canada but I am offering up some blog candy to wet your whistles! 


I'm offering a Rainbow stamp from DeNami as well as a $10 gift certificate to the DeNami Store!!!

To have a shot at this fabulous blog candy, there are a few rules:


1. Create a CARD based on the sketch - although it's just a "starting point" we should be able to tell that your card was created with this sketch in mind.

On the road...

After very sad good byes with friends and at work, and watching our house empty of it's contents, we're on the road to Prince Edward Island.

It will be approximately a 27 hour drive all totaled - of course, we'll be doing it in stages :) I am SO over driving late into the night or early morning if I can help it. I like me my beauty sleep waaaaay too much LOL!

We left Knoxville yesterday at 3 pm and drove 5.5 hours to VA last night. So far so good :)

We're currently in VA spending a few days with family and relaxing after a hectic couple of days before continuing with our relocation. Except, now I've acquired a cold - ugh. Hopefully, it won't get too bad as we continue on the road in 2 days…

Anywho, just wanted to stop in and give a little update! Thanks so much for all the well wishes during our move. It certainly was hard to leave but now the excitement of the new adventure is starting to surface :)
