DeNami Blog Hop: Monochromatic

For my CR84FN post, click HERE.

It's DeNami Blog Hop time!!!

If you've arrived here from the wonderful and talented Wendy Elliot's blog, you're on the right track :) If you've missed the beginning of the hop or simply need to return to the master list, just hop back to the DeNami Blog.

Time to go MONOCHROMATIC :) These are some of my favorite color schemes!

For this card I used the following DeNami Design products;
Brown Grosgrain Ribbon

I started by placing some Antique Linen distress ink on a craft mat, spritzing with water then laying a section of linen cardstock onto the ink - for a watermark-type look. I sponged around the edges with the same Antique Linen ink. The Winter Evergreen Tree (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this stamp) is stamped in Rich Cocoa from memento and the leaves from the Classic Leaves Petit Four are stamped in Desert Sand (Memento). I wanted a few leaves to be falling to create sort of a lonely feeling to accompany my "miss you" sentiment from the Assorted Greetings Petit Four. I haven't done this sort of a ribbon treatment in a while so I thought it was time to break it out again :) Finally, the card base is dry embossed with a woodgrain impression plate.

Now it's time to keep on hopping. Your next stop is the lovely Paulina Nakamura - she is one of the sweetest, most creative folks around!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy hopping!!!

TTFN,

CR84FN #23

Happy weekend fellow CR84FN-ers!!!! WOW, we had such a fabulous turnout for last weeks CR84FN color challenge! Thanks so much for playing along and sharing all of your fabulous creations with us :)

Take a look at the fabulous colors at CR84FN for this week....

Isn't that color combo just so elegant? The inspiration photos, from Martha Stewart, are so gorgeous!

If you take a look at the theme of this card, you'll notice it's a birthday card. Yep, the talented and oh-so-wonderful Sue Lelli has a birthday coming up soon and, Sue, this one's for you my dear friend!!! Sue is a wonderful, super sweet gal who leaves the nicest love for folks! Make sure you drop by Sue's blog to wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hope you have the most wonderful birthday, girl!!!

I stamped a damask pattern on soft pink cardstock using Angel pink dye ink from Memento. I embossed a flourish in white then added two layered crocheted flowers. It's tough to see but the cream cardstock has "Happy Birthday" stamped in light pink ink for the background. I topped it off with a sentiment and ribbon in black.

Make sure you give some love to the CR84FN DT as well as our April guest DT member, Silke Ledlow!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
