I created a window in free card stock through which to display DeNami's Happy Father's Day. Before I adhered the card stock to the cream base, I scored vertical lines with my Scor Pal then used Cutter Bee Piercer to pierce the scores. I wanted a riveted-type look. I finished it off with three brads in the upper left corner.

For my card, I used DeNami's Decorative Borders, Happy Birthday Script and the Birthday Celebration stamp set, all from the latest release. The card base is navy although it almost looks black in the picture. The little images are colored with Spicas and they look so cute and sparkly in person.

I just adore this sweet little chickie with a flower! I thought he'd be so sweet matched up with fun colors of the textured DeNami card stocks. I cut 1" strips of lime, sky and magenta card stocks and rounded the corners. I stamped the cutie three times then colored him up with Copics. As an aside, I'm not sure why I keep saying "him" for this chickie; I guess I just picture it as a "him" presenting a flower to his favorite gal :) 

I really like how this turned out for a really CAS card. The colors and chickie are just so fun and cheerful.

So for my Valentine, I saw this cute little video tutorial a few days back and I thought it was such a sweet little Valentine candy holder. The finished product is a little booklet with space for a candy and a message.

Here's the front. I used DeNami's Heart Flower Trio and Love Sentiments Petit Four. It's a hard to appreciate in the picture but I added a little sparkle to the hearts with a Spica glitter pen.

This is the inside. The die cut window is the spot to adhere the candy. I planned on putting a foil covered heart or similar Valentine candy inside, alas none of the stores here have Valentine candy out yet :( So I had to be creative...

I made a little 3D heart placeholder for my candy-yet-to-be-placed. Just to give you a rough idea of what it would look like.

On the last inside flap, I stamped DeNami's Small Valentine's Script.

This month, the challenge was to make gift wrapping - what a great challenge!

Despite this being an awesome challenge, I don't have a lot of gifts to wrap this year. I've mostly got gift certificates to give with the exception of some. Plus, we're flying to a different province and airlines tend to frown upon wrapped gifts nowadays (for obvious reasons). So I stuck to tags - they are definitely something I'll use though.

I was a little all-over-the-place with the tags, trying different things here and there. I did make a few similar tags…well, I'll let you see for yourself :)

For this tag, I used DeNami's medium lacy flake and stamped it on the iridescent blue card stock for some "shimmah". Then I put the sentiment across the top, leaving room to write the "to" and "from".

For the next tag, I broke out my much neglected Distress Inks. I stamped the Medium Lacy Flake (yup, again - I seriously LOVE this stamp!) and embossed it in white. Then I went to town with Concord Grape Distress Ink. To top it off, I stamped the sentiment in turquoise ink on vellum, and stitched it to the tag. I really like how this turned out :) Oh yeah, often when I use Distress Inks, the backs of things that I distress tend to get quite messy so I cover the back with a post-it to keep it clean. Worked like a charm :) Now the back can be used for writing!

I have seen a few of these framed Christmas decor projects and I decided to give it a go.

I started by stamping the snowflakes in white StazOn on the back of the glass. 

Then I embossed the sentiment on the surface of the glass. You can see it a little better in the picture above. At this point I couldn't decide if I wanted to leave the back off the frame or not - it looked kinda nice ether way. Ultimately, I added a piece of shimmery blue card stock to the back. 

Here's a quick pic of the frame with no backing, only the glass, hanging on the wall in my craft room...
