It’s time for another challenge over at Pile It On so head on over and stack up those challenges! This week the Pile It On challenge is to make a Get Well card or project.
Here’s what I’ve come up with….
All the materials are Papertrey Ink unless otherwise stated. The card base is kraft cardstock, with a layer of enchanted evening adhered to it. The umbrella outline and handle from Scattered Showers are stamped on Stamper’s Select White in enchanted evening ink. The umbrella was colored using my handy dandy copics (BG10, BG11, BG13) and a white gel pen used to make a little highlight on the edge. The raindrops, a background image from Scattered Showers Additions, is stamped in spring rain pigment ink after I masked my little umbrella. The sentiment, from Scattered Showers Additions, was also stamped in enchanted evening ink on spring rain cardstock and I paper pierced two lines on either side of the sentiment. It’s a bit hard to see, but I punched a small scallop border on the bottom of the spring rain cardstock...
If you look really closely, you’ll see it :) I’ve been on a real button kick lately and true to form, I added three enchanted evening buttons. I finished it off with some aqua mist twill ribbon tied in a little bow. In looking back on it, it may have been a good idea to mask a section without rain under the umbrella as if it were offering shelter from the rain, you know, like umbrellas are supposed to do :)
