I love medallion stamps - especially the large ones. I've seen people use them and I *ADORE* the look. I, however, do not own any large medallion stamps and had pondered purchasing some... until I visited the blog of the uber talented Maile Belles. To my delight, Malie used a flourished stamp from the new Mat Stack #2 Collection (PTI) and created gorgeous doilies - see them HERE and HERE! Brilliant!!!
I altered it a bit to make it smaller for my card. I also used a different stamp than on my actual card below, but here are the basic steps...
Stamp once...
Reink, rotate the stamp a little then stamp again....
Here's three stamped images...
And here's the final result (the image was stamped 4 times). It's too darn cute! I had to play around a bit to figure out what degree of overlap of the stamped images worked to get the most even image but it was pretty darn easy :) And now I have a medallion :)
I made a card for the current CASE Study Challenge - another fabulous inspirational card from Nina Brackett!
A closer look at the butterfly and it's wee, felt heart :)
Thanks so much for stopping by!
