Technique challenge time over at Just Us Girls! I'm the hostess this week and it's all about Faux Embossing.
I remember the first time I saw someone (the talented Betsy Veldman to be exact) use faux embossing - I fell in love. Such a neat way to use die cuts.
In case you're wondering exactly what I'm talking about, there's a tutorial HERE on Splitcoast Stampers.
I had just the dies in mind for this challenge when I sat down to create my card. The flourishes were made for this technique. I'm still on my white-on-white kick so I had to make yet another one. I added a pop of color with Hawaiian Shores ribbon and a tiny tag :) So cute. Simple but elegant, I think.

Stunning Andrea and so elegant!! Your ribbon and little tag look beautiful against the white.
What a fabulous card! Love the idea of faux embossing.
The white on white is absolutely divine. And the pop of color - yummy! Love it Andrea!
love the white on white kick!! Keep it up! That little tag is just the sweetest :) Hope all is well with you :) We are back at work, but still fighting Bill 22 the govt is hell bent on passing forcing us back to work and legislating us into mediation with THEIR appointed mediator...BC is not the place to be right now...well, public sector speaking :) Otherwise it's beautiful :) Hugs!
Love the swirls/flourishes you used as your faux embossing and I always love white on white! Lovely pop of colour with the aqua and the tag is adorable.
Glad you put the commenting thing on your sidebar, Andrea! I popped over here to say that I admire your work, seeing it at CR84FN, and JUGS. I wasn't sure how to leave a comment! LOL
I think this card for JUGS is just outstanding. Everything about it is so elegant and classy! Just became a Follower. :)
